Automated Scripts in PSP8

A while ago, a user asked me how to change the size of a load of pictures in a directory.
Paint Shop Pro 8 offers a new feature which makes that task quite simple.

1. Activate Symbolleiste Script if you can't see it (right-click next to the standard symbolleiste and click "Script")
2. Open one of the pics you want to change
3. Click the circle on the Skriptsymbolleiste to start recording the script
4. Do the changes you need (if it's re-sizing use pixels not percent)
5. Save the recorded script (Skriptsymbolleiste Diskette symbol). Use a recognizable name and don't change the target directory.
6. Click File/Batch to open the batch dialog:
a. choose the directory with the original files
b. under "Script", choose the script you just saved
c. choose a target directory (never save to the source directory or you will lose the originals!)
d. fix other options if needed
e. Start the batch

Important: Next to the "Start" button in the Skript palette there's a button to switch to interactive/automated mode. If interactive is active the script stops at every dialog and waits for entries. If you don't need or don't want interactive mode just deactivate it by clicking the button again.
