Scanned pictures can be tricky because fine scratches and lines show from
the original. Paint Shop Pro lends you a helping hand with a little scratch
removal tool.
First we need an example graphic which looks like this:
The arrow shows which part of the picture we want to concentrate on.
Please right-click on the picture and choose "Save link as" from the
option menu to download the graphic to your harddisk. Once on your pc,
open it with Paint Shop Pro.
Yeah, right, the picture hasn't really got scratches, but there are some
fine lines we will let disappear in a second.
From the photo palette 
we activate the tool  .
Since I can only run one language version of PSP on my computer the screenshots
are in German. No problem - the places with the settings are the same,
only the explanations are in German instead of English. They will work
nevertheless. Please enter the following settings and click OK:
Voilà: The roads have disappeared.
Other settings may apply for other pictures so just play with the settings
to receive the best results.
