![]() ![]() When working with JPG files, compression is often a problem. These "jpg patterns" or "artifacts" can be removed with a special feature Paint Shop Pro offers. First we need an example graphic which looks like this: ![]() Please right-click this picture and choose "Save link as" to save the graphic to your harddisk. When it's on your pc, open it with Paint Shop Pro. Choose the same part of the picture as you can see below and magnify it with the magnifying lense. From the Photo palette Although the screen shots have been taken from the German version of PSP you should be able to find the correct fields for the settings: 1. Before: ![]() 2. Afterwards: ![]() Paint Shop Pro is able to detect the jpg artifacts and removes them. For other pictures other settings may apply. Just try and see what gives you the best results. ![]()
